I dont understand the point of this argument, i have heard it many times. YOu may not want gun around because you need a bodyguard and feel in danger that someone might take away your life, so for an antigunner with a bodyguard it is logical, not illogical.

Look at rosie O'Donnell's position within society, people may not like her, she is a celebrity, there are crazy people around, she may feel unsafe in society and she wants society to be safer so she and others can feel more comfortable in their own country.

The thing that people trip about with celebrities having bodyguards isn't that they have them, but it is because they talk about security without guns but then have bodyguards to protect them. It's the hypocritical aspect that burns many people up.

Shoot if I could afford bodyguards for my wife and child I would have them.

Also you mentioned Rosie O'Donnell and her children's safety as well as Rebbecca Peterson's safety. The problem is they want safety at the expense of the rights of people who desire firearms. They would say, I don't feel safe with you having those guns, so let's take YOUR guns away so i can feel safe. That is what pisses off many shooters.

Would you want someone taking away a right you have for another to feel safe ?

To be honest, many Americans have a distorted view of the world, especially liberals. Many are so disconnected from the world and in many ways "live in a bubble". Many liberals without saying it depend upon the protection of the Atlantic and Pacific oceans and everything that happens in the world is something that happens only on TV and doesn't affect them in their communities.

Many of them think that during the Clinton Administration we has peace but in reality there wasn't but a successful media blackout of anything really bad. Look at Rawanda, Blackhawk down and yes Clinton did send cruise missles into the Sudan to try to kill Osama Bin Laudin and also approved Operation Desert Fox which was a bombing campaign against Iraqi air defense systems, which were tracking our planes flying in the no fly zone.

so many of the Rosie Odonnell crowd, have no clue as to the real world because like the playboyish types of the 1930's they had no clue; but in saying this this is also historical for the USA.

In the 1930's many Americans about 90% were isolationists. They didn't want to get involved in Europe knowing full well that Hitler was taking over Europe. We also had a significant Nazi group here in the US with Nazi sympathizers. During the 1938 Olympics many people during the boxing match between Joe Lewis and the German challenger voted for the German champ. some even knew about what was going on with the Jews but didn't say anything.

Also during the 1930's Japan was watching our military and our training. they evaluated it and thought that we were "paper tiger's" because we would train our military with potato sacks and wooden machineguns. It was one of the reasons they felt that they could mount an attack against us. Yes they wanted to expand their empire and we were in the way. But it wasn't until an outright attack that Americans responded.

Even them there were conspiracy theorists saying that Roosevelt allowed Pearl Harbor to happen, just like how Rosie O'Donnell says that 911 was a conspiracy. See the similarity.

I think my point was said here.
