Of course, but the problem is that people know that the others on the other side are being a little extreme, so both sides dont trust the other and never get into proper debate.

If everyone goes around making statements like reddbecca does, nothing will ever happen to make the country safer.
But then maybe that is what the rich want, the politicians play off of this insecurity, they can promise things and people will hope and believe.
The rich live in big houses and pay for security so why do they care???

I have personally seen both sides of this argument. I have gone to gun stores and talked with gun dealers and also have talked with people in anti-gun groups like Rainbow Push. Here is what I see.

Groups like Rainbow Push will think like this: Gun stores manufacturers and the NRA don't care what happens in our community. To them, it's all about money and they could care less about the children of our communities that are the victims of gun violence. Their guns are the reason for the plague of gun violence in our communities. guns = evil !!

While gun stores will say something like this: Those groups are communists. They want and desire a socialists country where no-one is armed except them.
