I've got nothing against the members of the army, they do a tireless and thankless job that's more dangerous than what any of us could do.

But, it's still instances like this that show that the military shouldn't be the only people who should be given access to guns. They're still regular people and subject to the same troubles as anybody else. They're not supermen, they're not inhuman professionals, they're regular people. And as such they're no different than you or me, or the anti-gunners here.

I'm pretty sure that the sniper used an M24, which is the military version of the rifle I have below. The differences are that the M24 has a slightly different buttstock, but both do shoot the 7.62x51 round. (What anti-gunners call a cop killer bullet and pro-gunners call a hunting round) It can penetrate type2 bodyarmor which is the normal police armor. Now Swat carries type 3 which is will not penetrate.

It's very probable that the sniper will be caught somewhere at a car wash or something like that, but if they try to catch him in his environment, you just don't know what he will do. Snipers are also trained to use their memories and yes to evade capture. I may look into sniper school myself. But for now I'll be working on finishing IOBC. I do want at the least airborne, since my great uncle was a paratrooper as well. I do know that to get into sniper school you must shoot expert with the M16 or M4. That means 36 out of 40 targets.

Right now I am a sharpshooter. My last score was 30 out of 40. I'm still working on it. IF I can get and finish Ranger and Airborne, I'll be a happy camper.
